Turning Policy into Practice: Sida's implementation of the Swedish HIV/AIDS strategy

The present study evaluates Sida's implementation of the Swedish strategy to combat HIV/AIDS ("Investing for Future Generations"). Hence, it primarily looks at Sida's internal organisation and procedures. The evaluation applies a policy perspective and sketches a model for how policy implementation can be studied. Field studies performed in Bangaldesh, Etiophia, Ukraine, and Zambia add further concretion and empirical examples to these discussions.
