Supporting pro-poor growth

One key feature of Sweden’s development policy is that all policy areas—orexample trade, security, agriculture, environment, migration and the economy—are to contribute to global development. The specific goal of Sweden’sdevelopment cooperation is to make it easier for poor people to improve thequality of their lives. One way of doing this is to pave the way for economicgrowth that will benefit the poor. One mission for Sida’s Department forInfrastructure and Economic Cooperation (INEC), is to find measures thatcontribute to pro-poor growth.
