Sida’s Evaluation Plan 2008

In 1991 OECD/DAC adopted a number of principles for evaluation in development cooperation. According to these principles all development cooperation agencies shall have an independent evaluation function. In the renewed Sida, the Secretariat for Evaluation (UTV) fulfi ls this function by commissioning evaluations which assesses the relevance, sustainability, effi ciency and results of Sida’s work.In addition, UTV coordinates the evaluation planning at Sida and publishes and distributes all evaluations and reviews commissioned by Sida. The Secretariat furthermore offers advise and training in evaluation for Sida staff.
