Sida Supported Development Cooperation with Thailand 1986-1998

Several large Swedish companies have operated in Thailand for many years and there has always been a friendly relationship between the two countries. Official Swedish development co-operation, however, was initiated only about ten years ago when Swedish consulting companies were given opportunities to participate. Since this time BITS and later Sida have provided assistance at a cost of almost USD 50 million. For evaluation purposes, Sida has selected projects using about 20% of the support granted.
