A description of the transformation of the relationship between Sweden and South Africa from traditional development cooperation into a broader cooperation. The pamphlet gives a historical perspective of the cooperation and an account of the different models for a broader cooperation, such as contract-financed technical cooperation, twinning, tripartite cooperation and partnership funds. It also includes case studies describing different areas of cooperation, such as research, culture, private sector development and HIV/AIDS.
