Mid-term Review of Diakonia’s Human Rights and Democracy Programme in Cambodia 2017–2019

The objective of the review was to assess the relevance and effectiveness of Diakonia’s Human Rights and Democracy programme inCambodia and to formulate recommendations, taking into account the current political situation. The review found that Diakonia’spartners are among the most important local CSOs in their thematic fields and that their work is highly relevant to the context and toSweden’s development strategy for Cambodia. Partners supported by Diakonia have made substantial contributions to democracyand human rights since 2014. Still there are some areas of improvement for Diakonia to consider, such as exploring synergies andbeing a more proactive partner.
