Gender Equality in Practice ­ A Manual for Sida provides Sida's desk officers with the instruments and know-how required to mainstream a gender perspective in the development cooperation process. The manual includes three chapters that are intended as a guide in how to do it: 1) Mainstreaming for Gender Equality ­ presents Sida's model for gender mainstreaming, 2) Gender Equality in Key Sida Processes ­ guides you on how to work with gender issues in the poverty analysis, in the development cooperation strategy process and when planning for budget support, and 3) Practical Tools ­ includes checklists and tools for gender mainstreaming in development cooperation.
