Development of Swedish General Budget Support 1990-2003

The purpose of this study is to analyse Swedish general budget support (GBS), its growth and justifications for disbursements, in order to provide an overview of the development of the support over the past decade (1990-2003). The study includes data on the amount of GBS disbursed to different partner countries over time, as well as other types of programme aid. It also includes an analysis of the change in motives for GBS disbursement over the period.
