An Evaluation of FARMESA and RELMA - Farm-level applied research methods in eastern and southern Africa and regional land manag

The evaluation covers two Sida supported initiatives, farm-level Applied Research Methods in eastern and Southern Africa (FARMESA) and the Regional Land Management Unit (RELMA). The purpose of the evaluation was to analyse the relevance of the support strategies of the two organisations and discuss the merits and disadvantages of continuing the Sida assistance. The evaluation has also reviewed alternatives for channelling Sida funds to methods development within agricultural support services and for promotion of better land management.
