Prevention, care and impact mitigation. Investing for future generations, the Swedish strategy for an international response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, was published in March 1999. A year later, Sida commissioned this report as a Desk study on the prevention, care and impact of HIV/AIDS in recognition of the need for increased knowledge about the epidemic. The purpose of the study is to provide an analytic and systematic overview.
