Sida’s Multi-bi Support

Sweden’s development cooperation channelled through multilateral organisations and the EU has increased in recent years. The amount was close to SEK 24 billionin 2017, which constitute 51 % of total Swedish official development assistance (ODA). Core support to multilateral organisations’ regular budgets is decided bythe Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Sida manages the main part of Sweden’s multi-bi support, which in 2018 totalled SEK 11 billion, constituting 44 % of Sida’s total disbursements.
