Evaluation of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) core support during 2022-2025
Purpose and use
The evaluation covers Sida’s core support to the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) from 2022-2025. Primary users are Sida, the WILPF International Board and International Secretariat. Other users are the Embassy of Sweden in Amman and other Swedish Embassies; WILPF members, partners and networks; academics, policymakers, and other funders.
Conclusion
Sida’s support was relevant at the start of the evaluation and WILPF’s feminist approach to peace has remained relevant over time despite challenges created by a deteriorating context. The support complements Sida’s support to the Women, Peace and Security sector and the support of others funding WILPF projects and programmes. The deteriorating context makes progress towards results difficult, but some progress is noted. WILPF’s decision-making processes are slowed by the Constitution and its commitment to feminist principles, which the International Secretariat is working with the International Board to address. Despite diminishing funding, the potential for sustainability of results exists.
Recommendation
The primary recommendation is that Sida should continue to support WILPF.

Evaluation of the Impact of the Regional Community Forestry Training Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC) Implementation in the Asia-Pacific Region
Purpose and use
The evaluation assessed the impact of RECOFTC’s work in the forest sector in the Asia and Pacific region over the past 25 years (1998-2023). The evaluation focused on the extent to which RECOFTC has achieved its mission and vision and formulated recommendations for the short, medium and long term.
Conclusion
RECOFTC’s evolution reflects its responsiveness to shifting global and regional contexts, with impactful contributions to participatory forest management, capacity-building, and equitable access. Its systematic approach has generated major gains, but new governance challenges and emerging thematic needs now require adaptive strategies.
Recommendations
RECOFTC should enhance long-term monitoring, advocate for community forestry in climate policies, address human–wildlife conflict, empower national NGOs,
6 strengthen legal protections, engage in carbon governance, scale forest enterprises, foster regional dialogue, improve gender inclusion strategies, and ensure projects align with its strategic identity to maximize relevance and impact.
