Sammanfattning
Aquatic food systems, producing blue foods, are an expanding part of the global food systems and demand for blue foods is expected to double by 2050. Blue foods are critical to the livelihoods, food and nutrition security of more than 800 million people in developing countries – particularly those vulnerable to climate change, poverty, conflict and humanitarian emergencies, of which many are women and youth. Moreover, three billion people get vital nutrients and 20 percent of their animal protein from blue foods.
