Annual Report 2023-2024

The purpose of this biennial report that covers the years 2023 and 2024 is to provide an overview of Sida’s evaluation activities with regard to the three main types of evaluations at Sida – central evaluations, decentralised evaluations, and partner-led evaluations. It discusses what and how Sida evaluates, presents data on evaluation report output over a longer period of time, and presents the mandate, approach and tasks of Sida’s Evaluation Team. The report also examines the key questions of costs and coverage of Sida’s decentralised evaluations and concludes that evaluation coverage is low, while evaluation costs frequently surpass international expenditure standards. It also concludes that knowledge management at Sida remains a challenge in terms of assuring and enabling learning and uptake of evaluation evidence and insights.
