Organisation

Sida consists of eight departments, internal audit and the Director-General's office. Five departments work with implementing the development assistance and three with support, steering and control. A large proportion of the contribution management is delegated to the foreign missions.

Governing Board

Sida is managed by a governing board which is the highest management body of the agency and has full responsibility for all decisions concerning its operations.

Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board is appointed by the Swedish government and reviews Sida's proposals for projects and cooperation within the research area.
