The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, is Sweden’s government agency for international development cooperation.
For a better world together
We strive to reduce world poverty by allocating resources and knowledge with the goal of making a difference for people in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. To achieve this, we collaborate with actors from civil society and universities as well as the public and private sector. Sida’s activities are funded through Swedish tax revenue.
Swedish development cooperation and humanitarian assistance is governed by strategies decided by the Swedish government. The strategies set the objectives for Swedish development cooperation and determine what Sida can support.
Sida consists of eight departments, internal audit and the Director-General’s office. Five departments work with implementing the development cooperation and three with support, management and control. A large proportion of the contribution management is delegated to Sweden’s foreign missions.
In Sida’s publication database you find evaluations, portfolio overviews and other types of publications.
Sida procures consulting services, collaborations with public agencies and other services that we need to do our work.
