At the Conference Stockholm Internet Forum, May 22 - 23, Sida hosted a seminar entitled Transforming international development through ICTs. The panel aimed to explore how international development is being transformed by the application of new technologies to existing practices. The Role of Business and Partnerships in Addressing the Development Challenges of the 21th Century ägde rum på Sida den 13 maj. Se seminariet on-demand och hör Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs från Columbias Earth Institute och Hans Vestberg, VD för Ericsson presentera det globala nätverket Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Ett Runda bordssamtal föregick seminariet, där ett tjugofemtal svenska företagsledare ställde sig bakom fyra centrala principer för hur de gemensamt ska medverka till hållbar utveckling och minskad fattigdom i det globala arbete som sker med nya utvecklingsmål efter 2015.

If you suspect corruption in connection with a development assistance project, or if you are aware that development assistance funds are not being managed in accordance with what has been agreed, you can report it. You can choose to be anonymous.

Sweden has supported Uganda's water and sanitation sector for over ten years. The important progress has strengthened Uganda's institutions dealing with water resources.

How an intervention comes about

Why does Sida choose to support democracy activists in Tunisia or hospitals in DR Congo? Will aid to farmers in Bolivia help improve their situation or is development achieved by supporting market development in East Africa? There are many factors that influence when Sida decides to support an intervention.
