Pia Sassarsson , Johanna Strandh
This evaluation assess the Africa Groups of Sweden's programmes and their relevance, effectiveness and sustainability. Two countries were chosen for field trips and in-depth assessment, South Africa and Mozambique. The evaluation team found the projects assessed to be relevant, effective and sustainable to varying degrees, contributing to Sida's overall objective for its support through the NGO-appropriation. The projects are targeted at reducing poverty and strengthening the civil society, and the support is focused on capacity and organisational development.
