Samson Kinyanjui , Ian M. Timæus
INDEPTH is a network of 37 health and demographic surveillance system (HDSS) sites based in the developing world set up to raise the research productivity, sharing experience and skills and mounting multi-site research projects. INDEPTH has made effective progress toward these goals over the past decade. The report suggests some changes to INDEPTH’s structures and working procedures to further increase the quantity and quality of the research based on these HDSS data. It underlines the need of increased core support to enhance INDEPTH’s achievements and increase its scientific and policy impact.
