Experience of implementing Challenge Funds in hard to reach markets and contexts and key factors to consider in deciding whether to use a Challenge Fund as a poverty reducing instrument.

For over ten years, Sida has used Challenge Funds, by inviting companies to compete for support for good ideas. To learn from this experience, Sida has commissioned an evaluation with the purpose to compile knowledge and test Sida’s rationale and underlying assumptions for the use of challenge funds in development cooperation.

Join us for a discussion addressing the questions when and how Challenge Funds can be an effective instrument in development cooperation, in light of the findings from Sida’s experience of using Challenge Funds. The evaluation, conducted by IPE Triple Line, has reviewed ten global challenge funds in Sida’s portfolio, some managed in cooperation with other donors.

After the seminar join us for a mingle as we continue the conversation.

Please register for the seminar using this link, no later than 18 September 2018.

The seminar will be webcasted live here. Start time 13:30 (GMT+2). The recording will also be available after the seminar at the same link.
