Midterm evaluation of twinning programme between Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU) and Health Institute for Mother and Child, New Delhi (MAMTA) to promote the public awareness of young people's reproductive and sexual health and rights in India. The evaluation showed that the programme has made considerable inroads, particularly as regards advocacy at the national level and by involving a network of NGOs in promoting awareness among young people at the local level. However, there is a need to (a) distill and disseminate lessons learned from local level action research, (b) focus on state level advocacy, and (c) consolidate capacity building around sexuality education at all levels.
