Human Resources for Health and Development
Human Resources are one of the key components of helth systems. Health workers are the heart of the health system of every country. Within the global health labour market, health professionals have great mobility and are sensitive to factors such as pay, working conditions, job satisfaction and economic prospects. These factors lead to global inequalities in health care provision, both within as well as between countries. This paper aims to develop an understanding of the multiple dimensions of human resources in health systems and to explore some of the most critical human resource problems that are now confronting governments.
