Ted Freeman , Sheila Dohoo Faure
This report presents the results of the Joint Evaluation of External Support to Basic Education in Developing Countries. The Joint Evaluation included case studies of external support to basic education in the four participating countries: Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Uganda and Zambia. The evaluation’s major strategy for addressing these challenges was reflected in its objective, which was to examine the process of external support to basic education provided by international and national funding and technical assistance agencies. Theevaluation was thus mainly concerned with external support (aid) and basic education, with primary emphasis on the links between the two.
