    The Partnership Programme of Swedish Mission Council (SMC)

    This is an assessment of the Sida-funded partnership programme of the Swedish Mission Council (SMC). With an annual budgeted outlay (2002) of appr. SEK 136 million the programme currently includes over 100 partners in more than 50 countries supported by some 30 Swedish Christian organisations, most of which are members of the SMC.

    Att placera barn och ungdomar på institution är ett arv från Sovjetunionen som det nya Ryssland har svårt att göra sig av med. Upp emot en miljon ryska barn lever idag på barnhem och olika slag av institutioner och antalet ökar ständigt. Många institutionsbarn hamnar i social misär när de lämnar barnhemmen. I denna broschyr ger vi några exempel på Sidas insatser för barn i Ryssland.
