This Newsletter reflects on the Sida Evaluation 02/33 Supporting Ownwership: Swedish development Cooperation with Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Sida has a programme of long standing in Kenya; the programme is relatively recent in decades. Whilethe concept of ownership has influenced Sida policy and practice for decades, the meaning changed over time. The evaluation examined the character of Sida's relations with each of the countries, both with regard to past and present strategies. In this evaluation ownership refers to project or programmes.
