This report presents the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the Review of the Statistical Cooperation project between the National Institute of Statistics of Albania and Statistics Sweden, Phase 4, October 2014 - December 2017. The overall objective of the fourth phase was to contribute to the development of a sustainable statistical system in Albania. The project had five major components that focus on statistical production (Agriculture and Environment Statistics; Economic Statistics; Social Statistics; Information Communication Technology; and Statistical Methodology) and one component that focus on management. The review finds the project design to be relevant. It aligns with the priorities set out in Sida’s strategy for the region and meets the needs of INSTAT and the Official Five Year Statistical Plan. In terms of effectiveness and efficiency, the review concludes that the support has been moderately effective and efficient, although several sub-components did not show any progress. Finally, due to a high degree of relevance with national and EU accession priorities, the prospects for sustainability of results are seen as good for the majority of the components.
