Irene Karani , James Ndung'u
The Lake Victoria Catchment Environmental Education programme was designed as a pilot and implemented by Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, Nature Uganda and WWF Tanzania Environmental Education Programme (TEEP) in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania respectively under WWF EARPO. The programme implementation sites were spread over 7 districts in the three countries. The main target groups were primary school pupils, teachers and communities and by the time of this review it had reached over 100,000 children, 600 teachers and 12,000 community members. The review notes that the programme was found to be relevant to the needs of the target groups in the catchment area.
