The purpose of the review is to provide information and lessons learnt in order to serve as a basis for decision on possible future support. The authors assessed the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the Research Direction. This is an "informal" Masters Programme in Human Rights, offered by the Research Centre for Human Rights in the Peking University Law School. The Raoul Wallenberg Institute sought to facilitate this Programme and empower the Centre by providing support to capacity building and human rights teaching. The authors concluded that the Research Direction is essentially a relevant and effective approach to building an academic Human Rights environment and nourishing a human rights community in China.
