Sida Procurement Guidelines

Updated: 12 July 2015

The Sida Procurement Guidelines, SPG, are a set of rules that Sida uses during contacts with international cooperation partners. Sida also uses the guidelines when the procurement regulations in a partner country do not meet Sida’s requirements.

The SPG are based on the World Bank’s recommended regulations, but are also in line with EU directives and guidelines relating to procurements, as well as the recommendations established by the OECD body, Development Assistance Committee (DAC).

Procurements involving Sida should also adhere to Sida’s guidelines on ecological sustainability (pdf) in public procurement.
