Health Cooperation at the Crossroads: More of the same - or making a difference

The main success of the programme has been to contribute effectively to the objective of policy and strategy development. Many policies, regulations, and laws have been formulated with the support of the programme; The evaluation team concluded that Sweden ought to stay in the health sector in Vietnam. To leave the sector would be a lost opportunity to leverage Sweden's comparative advantage as a long-time trusted partner in health. Using this role, the comparative advantage increases when Sweden invests in sensitive areas. Examples of such areas are health policy development in the context of public administrative reform.The health sector offers an opportunity to promote the issues to be promoted by Sweden.
