    Sida's Independent Guarantee Scheme

    The Sida independent guarantee scheme, which was introduced in 1999 as a pilot scheme by the government, is an innovative private sector and financial market initiative. Through a public-private partnership the programme has the potential to achieve several development objectives at potentially very limited costs to Sida.
