How Sida promotes and enables responsible business practices - a fact-finding study

This report looks at existing work carried out by Sida which directly or indirectly relates to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). It documents examples of Sida supported activities which promote responsible business practices. The report begins with an overview of current attitudes to CSR. It then examines how donor agencies such as Sida can support the promoting of responsible business practices, and concludes with some suggestions on how Sida can further its efforts to ensure that private sector activities in developing countries have a positive impact on society.
