Description:
Gender Inequality and Poverty: Trends, Linkage, Analysis and Policy Implications Part I and Part II
This report is a compilation of material prepared at the Institute of Development Studies for Sida over a period of four years. The various sections were commissioned as inputs into Sidas Task Force on Poverty Reduction, to inform the development of Sidas strategy to reduce poverty and promote sustainable livelihoods. Part I contains an introductory analysis and sections on trends, measurements, households and labour markets, and an overview in the form of short summaries for the thematic sections covered in Part II. Part II provides a detailed analysis of gender and poverty issues and linkages across the range of themes and sectors of relevance to Sidas development co-operation efforts.
