Applying for funding through an organisation with framework agreement

Published: 18 December 2012 Updated: 14 October 2016

Sweden's support to civil society organisations in developing countries can be channelled through a Swedish CSO that has a framework agreement with Sida. By supporting the work of CSOs, we promote development of a dynamic and democratic civil society and strengthen local partner organisations.

A local civil society organisation in a developing country that wants to collaborate with Sida should contact one of our framework organisations. Funding for local or national CSOs in cooperation countries is channelled only through framework organisations and applications for local projects can be made to them.

Forum Syd is by far the largest Swedish organisation that has a framework agreement with Sida. It serves as an umbrella organisation for around 200 Swedish CSOs working with development co-operation.
