The Unit for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
Sida's Unit for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) supports the work of the agency to strengthen the quality of Swedish development cooperation and to learn from and manage by results. It also commissions large-scale and thematic evaluations of strategic importance for Sida.
The Unit for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation plays an advisory and supportive role within Sida. PME aims to strengthen results-based management, monitoring and evaluation as well as processes of learning from the results of development cooperation. Each year, PME commissions 2-3 strategic evaluations decided upon by the Director-General. Please visit our pages for current evaluations and evaluation briefs to learn more about the strategic evaluations.
PME also provides strategic support to Sida’s decentralised evaluations, commissioned by Sida departments, units and foreign missions.
