OECD Development Assistance Committee compiles annual statistics on various countries' aid budgets. Preliminary figures for 2012 have now been completed, and Sweden comes on second place after Luxemburg. The Swedish aid budget amounted to 0.99 percent of gross national income (GNI) last year - a decrease from the previous year when 1,02 per cent was allocated to development aid. It still places us as one of only five countries in the world to devote at least 0.7 percent of our gross national income to development aid.
The five countries of the peak are:
1.Luxemburg
2.Sverige
3.Norge
4.Danmark
5.Nederländerna
