Sida has worked for some time with companies that actively promote these issues. But we are currently undertaking a major project to identify how we can best cooperate with and support those companies that want to run their businesses in an ethical and responsible way.
As a part of that work Peter Davis, a consultant from Greystone Management and editor of the magazine Ethical Corporation, has writen a study on how we are currently working with CSR and how we could work in the future.

Operate under the Global Compact
Sida want to encourage more companies to operate under the Global Compact, a UN initiative, which includes regulations, ways and policies for companies wishing to operate in a responsible manner in all markets. Topics addressed are labor, corruption, environmental issues and human rights.
