Where else is funding available?

There are several places where both Swedish and foreign companies can apply for funding for various projects abroad. Sometimes the company’s customers or trading partners abroad can apply for support; sometimes the company itself can get funding for a particular venture.

The EU has several programmes aimed at companies. Sida has also produced a more detailed report about the programmes and funds available for companies from within the EU.

On its website, the Swedish Trade Council also has some information about funding and export loans, credits and guarantees.

The Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board also offers various kinds of credits and guarantees 

AB Svensk Exportkredit (SEK)  provides advisory services and offers various kinds of financing solutions, trade guarantees and credits.

IFC is a subsidiary organisation of the World Bank Group, which focuses on building up the private sector in developing countries.

Sweden's aid - open and internationally comparable

Openaid.se is a web-based information service about Swedish aid built on open government data. The data is published according to the international IATI-standard, which means that it is freely available and compatible with data from other countries and donors.

International Training Programmes

As part of Sida's work with capacity and institutional development Sida offers international training programmes (ITP) for participants from low-and middle-income countries in priority areas. ITP's methodology takes account of the desire to develop and reform that the participants' organization have expressed in their application to the program.
