Who may apply to our courses?
Swedish actors and their partners in development and humanitarian action. These actors include:
- private sector
- public sector (state authorities, municipalities, county councils and regional governments)
- researchers
- civil society
Participants are selected by course management and if found to qualify are assisted accordingly e.g. with a letter of invitation for visa application.

How much do the courses cost?
Sida Partnership Forum charges SEK 1200 per course day for paying participant. This includes: participation, full board and lodging.
(Invitees from organizations that are partners of Swedish civil society organizations will attend courses free of charge throughout 2010.)

Does Sida Partnership Forum sponsor or fund participants?
No, Sida Partnership Forum does not sponsor or fund participants nor does it assist in any way or answer questions to that end about:
- participation
- board and lodging
- travel related expenses including insurances

When do I know if I have been accepted to the course or not?
A few days after the last application day information about acceptance and course details will be sent out to all the applicants.

Cancellation regulations
If you are prevented from attending the course you should contact the course administrator as soon as possible. Cancellation regulations apply to all applicants. When cancelling within a week before the course starts, SEK 600 will be charged for a full course day and SEK 300 for half a day. The regulations do not apply if the applicant has a valid doctor’s certificate.

What kind of accommodation does Sida Partnership Forum offer?
Course participants normally stay at the Sida Partnership Forum guest-house: Lönnebo, which is located next to the main building. Participants are accommodated in single/double-occupancy rooms. All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
Accommodations offer the following amenities: bathroom, linens, blanket, pillows and towels. Some of the rooms are handicap-accessible.
Our guest-house has spacious kitchens as well as TV-rooms and laundry-room and a Sauna. Breakfast is served for all guests at Lönnebo and lunch/dinner is normally served in the main building.
At the guesthouse you can use your own laptop in your room. Computers with internet are available in the main building - both in the library on the first floor as well as in several rooms on the second floor. Two phones for incoming calls are located in the hall outside the kitchen at Lönnebo. There are no telephones for outgoing calls in the guest-house.

In your application you can specify any special food requirements such as being a vegetarian or if you have any allergies.

How do I get to Sida Partnership Forum in Härnösand, Sweden?
The Stockholm/Arlanda airport is about 250 miles (400 km) from Härnösand. Travel to Härnösand is via plane Sundsvallsflyg.se or Sas.se, train Sj.se or busYbuss.se.
If you travel by air from Stockholm the destination is Sundsvall airport. It is suggested to travel by bus or taxi from the airport to Härnösand.
In case you travel by train or bus the destination is Härnösand. You may have to change from train to bus in Sundsvall, but the bus departures in direct conjunction to the station building in Sundsvall and the ticket is valid the whole journey. In Härnösand you may walk or order a taxi to Sida Partnership Forum on arrival.

Is it possible to arrive to Härnösand and get lodging one day before the course starts?
Yes, and we welcome arrival one day before, since the course starts early in the morning. As you confirm your participation, then also provide us with information of your expected date and time of arrival and departure so that we can prepare accordingly.
