    The general level of awareness of climate change in Cambodia is extremely low. At the same time, the country is classified as one of the world’s most vulnerable with regard to the effects of climate change. Cambodian NGOs are playing an important role in helping villagers to adapt when cultivation conditions change.

    Land theft, or the involuntary eviction of people from their homes, is a far too common occurrence for many poor people in Cambodia. Land theft is a crime against human rights. Sida is supporting non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that work with human rights in Cambodia, some of which focus on combating land theft.

International Training Programmes

As part of Sida's work with capacity and institutional development Sida offers international training programmes (ITP) for participants from low-and middle-income countries in priority areas. ITP's methodology takes account of the desire to develop and reform that the participants' organization have expressed in their application to the program.
