Sida’s Director-General is Charlotte Petri Gornitzka. The Director-General's Office is supported by two secretariats; the Director-General's secretariat and the Planning secretariat .

Charlotte Petri Gornitzka is Sida's Director-General. The Director-General has the ultimate responsibility for implementing government and parliament decisions and for resolving overall issues regarding Sida's organization.

Bo Netz is Deputy Director-General of Sida and part of the Director-General's office. He is Acting  Director-General in absence of the ordinary Director-General.

International Training Programmes

As part of Sida's work with capacity and institutional development Sida offers international training programmes (ITP) for participants from low-and middle-income countries in priority areas. ITP's methodology takes account of the desire to develop and reform that the participants' organization have expressed in their application to the program.
