Policies and strategies for Swedish development aid

The Swedish government decides on the policies and strategies that guide Sida's work. These apply to both the development work and some of our other operations.

Sida proposes strategies and policies for Swedish development cooperation to the Swedish government, which then decides upon them.

Most documents are only available in Swedish. Beneath please find links to documents in English.

International Training Programmes

As part of Sida's work with capacity and institutional development Sida offers international training programmes (ITP) for participants from low-and middle-income countries in priority areas. ITP's methodology takes account of the desire to develop and reform that the participants' organization have expressed in their application to the program.
