Sida’s government assignments in accordance with the 2008 letter of appropriation.

Sida has been tasked by the government with proposing ways of measuring the quality and efficiency of Sida’s operational processes. These quality and efficiency measurements will be reported in Sida’s annual report as of 2009.

Increased focus on field work in Sida’s operations

Sida can improve efficiency in its development cooperation by putting more of a focus on field work. This is why Sida is now assessing ways of increasing the proportion of staff stationed abroad by 10 percent.

The assessment of how best to divide up operations in Sweden and abroad will be done based on the government allocation for 2008.

Budget support to Burkina Faso and Mali?

Sida will assess pre-conditions for continued budget support to Burkina Faso and Mali. The assessment will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines for cooperation strategies.
